I took yellow ocher, burnt sienna, and ultra marine blue watercolors and dropped them on a piece of Bristol board. I then squirted air at the blob using a baby nasal syringe and that mixed the colors.
After they were dry I used a Pitt pen to add detail. The Pitt pen didn't like drawing through the paint and I had to clean the tip several times. If I did this again I would experiment with other pens.
